Passionate life! Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines passion as “a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something.” Are you living a passionate life? Living and expressing who you are and what makes you get up in the morning, whether that is being excited to see the sun come up, having a goal to work towards or just savoring the knowing that you have a choice for your new day to create it however you like? I’m all for living the passionate life! But I didn’t always feel that way. For the first half of my life, I had been unknowingly depressed, feeling hopeless and lackadaisical, being pushed and pulled by the winds of change and not having focus or direction. Or I didn’t feel totally alive and excited about life. Sure, there were the fleeting moments of excitement spurred on by temporary experiences, but those wore off because I didn’t realize how much there was to be grateful for—for LIFE itself!
But something shifted along the way and I came to know that life itself is this great, big opportunity to be, have or do whatever it is we want and to have passion—that strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something—is what is so exciting about the gift of life! The possibilities are endless for a passionate Big Life!
